Games Lore Ltd are the UK's largest Online retailer of Board Games, Card Games, Military and Historic Games, Trading Card Games. Our full time team and extensive stock holding ensures that we are able to deliver a high level of customer service to our customers.

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Browse our Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping trolley. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Check Out' and you will be asked for the details we need to be able to satisfy the order.

We accept Visa, Mastercard and most Debit Cards.


Payment via Paypal is available by choosing the Paypal option from the dropdown list of Payment methods. Note that this doesn't use the address stored in Paypal and you will need to separately enter your address.


Cheques, in GBP only, should be made payable and sent to Games Lore Ltd, Unit B Halesfield 20, Telford, TF7 4QU, United Kingdom. Goods are not sent until your cheque has cleared.

Educational Accounts

Schools and Libraries may apply for accounts with Games Lore Ltd. Once these are agreed and an account number has been issued to the School then the Educational Accounts option may be selected. The goods will be despatched with an invoice for payment in standard 30 days (note: this may be varied in agreement with Games Lore Ltd Finance Director).

Please note that invoices not paid within 30 days will be charged interest at the rate of 1.5% per month.

Shipping And Handling

Shipping is calculated according to the weight of the products you order. Buying two or more products will probably mean less shipping cost per product as our contract with a Courier kicks in, so how about adding a game or a book for a friend as well.

The customer is responsible for entering their Address and Post Code correctly and for arranging collection from the Post Office or the Courier if they are not in when delivery is attempted. We will notify you when items are returned to us as the Post Office or the Courier has been unable to deliver. In this circumstance we will charge you for the Postal element of your order again before we will ship your order back to you. Note that you can choose a separate Delivery Address when you place your order.

All shipping is done using Royal Mail or a Courier. You may select the quality of service you wish.

Courier shipping rates to the Highlands and Islands of Scotland and Northern Ireland are now so different from the courier rates to the rest of the mainland UK that Games Lore Ltd are no longer able to fully subsidise these areas and have therefore increased shipping rates to these destinations though they still do not reflect the costs that we may incur in sending orders.

Orders sent to BFPO destinations may not weigh more than 2kg, orders above this weight will say, your order has exceeded the shipping tables defined by the supplier, therefore it is not possible to calculate the shipping cost.

Delivery Schedule

Games Lore Ltd generally despatch orders next business day where products are in stock, it may take up to 10 business days where products are not in stock. If a longer time period is required we will notify you by email and you may then choose to cancel your order or to wait as you prefer.

Not all countries outside the EU are currently loaded within our shipping database, if you wish to order and your country is not represented please let us know and we will be happy to load it for you.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait, note you must respond within 7 days to this notice or we will assume that you wish your order to be processed.


Pre-Orders are taken against products before release. The money is debited from your credit card at the time the order is taken and Games Lore Ltd then undertake to supply you the product within 10 days of the published launch date, as shown on this website, or your money will be returned in full.

Where a Pre-Order is mixed with existing products we will generally wait until the Pre-Order arrives and then ship the whole of your order together. If you would like existing products to arrive earlier please make a separate order.

Tax Charges

All prices include VAT at 20% as appropriate. Orders for countries outside the EU are processed with no VAT as local Taxes will be applied on arrival. Note that Games Lore Ltd are not liable for local taxes and these remain the responsibility of the customer.

VAT is charged for delivery services, proportionately if some of your order is Zero-Rated and there is no charge if your entire order comprises such items. Credit Card Security

All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption provided by the Worldpay software. They are only decrypted after they reach the computer belonging to the credit card clearance company, WorldPay. They are not held in clear text on any web site nor do Games Lore Ltd ever see your credit card number. Games Lore Ltd guarantees, to the best of our ability, to ensure that the product you receive will be complete and fit for it's intended use. If this is not the case then you have up to 7 days from the day after you received the product to return it to us for a full refund. The customer is responsible for paying the return postage to Games Lore Ltd. Your Rights

You have the right to cancel your order with us, this can be done up to 14 days from the day after the goods are received by you. In the event of cancellation you must notify us either by email to cancellations@gameslore.com or in writing to Paul Bryant, Games Lore Ltd, Unit B Halesfield 20, Telford, TF7 4QU, United Kingdom. You must return the product to us at the address shown. We will return the cost of the product within 30 days of notice of cancellation and after receipt of your return. The customer is responsible for paying the return postage, where we arrange collection with Parcelforce we will pass on the cost of that collection to you, that price is currently £5.79 for the UK but will vary for countries outside of the UK.

Note that Business to Business transactions do not enjoy the same rights under the Distance Selling Regulations or the EU's Consumer Rights Directive.

The terms of this contract do not affect your statutory rights.

Dispute Resolution

If we have been unable to resolve a dispute with you then you may wish to contact an ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) service such as The Retail Ombudsman, note that although they can make reccomendations their judgements are not binding on us.

Our standard office hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm. If no one is available to answer your call please leave a message on the answerphone and we will get back to you. All calls will be charged by your telephone company at standard rates.

Privacy Policy

t/a Board Game Uniq do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.
